40: A Tale of Redemption, Love, and Second Chances – In Cinemas September 4

In a desperate attempt to end her life, a woman discovers a love that might offer her a fresh start.

Viva Films presents "40", starring Cindy Miranda and Kiko Estrada. Cindy takes on the role of Megan, a vlogger and content creator whose life spirals out of control when her staged videos are exposed, leading to a torrent of online hate. Overwhelmed by the backlash, Megan decides to take her own life but is unexpectedly saved by a stranger.

Kiko Estrada portrays Archie, a computer shop owner who refuses to leave Megan’s side after rescuing her. Despite Megan's reluctance, Archie is determined to help her, offering her three words of advice on tackling her problems without self-harm: Attack. Conquer. Eliminate. He promises to step away once Megan regains control, but the real battle is within—Megan sees herself as the enemy she must defeat.

As Megan's inner struggles come to light, Archie faces the challenge of showing her that life can still hold beauty. But where does Archie’s unwavering optimism come from? In a world where our time is limited, can Megan rely on Archie to guide her toward healing, no matter how long it takes?

Supporting Miranda and Estrada are seasoned actors Yayo Aguila, Boboy Garrovillo, Irma Adlawan, Ruby Ruiz, JC Tiuseco, rising star Lawrence dela Cruz, with a special appearance by Diego Loyzaga.

The film’s emotional depth is further enhanced by the inclusion of Ben&Ben’s poignant song “Leaves,” with a special rendition by Concert King Martin Nievera. As the lyrics go, “Leaves will soon grow from the bareness of trees, and all will be alright in time,” echoing the film's message of hope.

Directed by Dado Lumibao, known for his impactful work in films like "Always" and "Wedding Dress," as well as the acclaimed TV dramas "The Greatest Love" and "Maalaala Mo Kaya."

Cindy Miranda recently starred in the horror film "Kuman Thong," and has earned a FAP Awards Best Actress nomination for her role in "Reroute," where she starred alongside John Arcilla and Sid Lucero. Kiko Estrada, the newest Primetime Leading Man, has captivated audiences with his diverse roles in series like "Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa" and "Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko."

Don't miss their on-screen chemistry in "40," premiering on September 4, 2024, in cinemas nationwide.
