🎬 MMFF 2025 is Here! Meet the 8 Official Entries Lighting Up Philippine Cinemas This Holiday Season


The 51st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) officially kicked off on December 25, 2025, and Filipino moviegoers are in for a cinematic treat! Running until January 14, 2026, this year’s festival—hosted in Makati under the theme “A New Era for Philippine Cinema”—showcases eight original Filipino films, all vying for box office glory and critical acclaim.

No foreign films. No distractions. Just pure, homegrown storytelling from some of the country’s most talented stars, directors, and production houses.

Here’s the complete list of MMFF 2025 official entries, grouped by batch:


🎥 First Batch (Announced July 8, 2025)

  1. Call Me Mother

All eight films are now showing in theaters nationwide. The MTRCB has rated most entries as PG (parental guidance suggested for children under 13), with one G-rated (General Audience) and one R-13 entry.

The Gabi ng Parangal (Awards Night) will be held on December 27, 2025, where the festival’s top honors—including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Actress—will be revealed.
